Landkjenning
Ended Thursday and welcomed a Friday off work before a trip to Sunderland Point with Maridalen by Maridalen, released on Jazzland Recordings in 2021.
The name Maridalen comes from the scenic valley that lies just north of Oslo city center. The trio's eponymous debut was recorded in the wooden Maridalen church, just a short distance from the old stone ruins of St Margaretakirken and the shores of Maridalsvannet.
What initially started as an opportunity to practice together gradually evolved into the Maridalen project. #Maridalsspillet 2025!
Alt-i-alt en god og tankevekkende forestilling, også for meg som generelt misliker musikaler. Jeg fikk bl.a. assosiasjoner til maktmisbruk i mange versjoner, og det passa bra til en fersk tekst av @pluralistic som inkluderer "Wilhoit's Law: Conservatism consists of exactly one proposition, to wit: There must be in-groups whom the law protects but does not bind, alongside out-groups whom the law binds but does not protect." https://pluralistic.net/2025/08/13/then-they-came-for-me/#boss-politics
Det gikk veldig greit å komme med buss, og fin oppvarmingsvandring med flere stemningsskapende stopp ned til kirkeruinen, som er en effektfull scene.
