Fun (?) fact: I'm increasingly turning to #MarginaliaSearch whenever I need to look stuff up.
Previously I pegged it as a search engine that is a cool idea but didn't index enough web to be useful.
But Marginalia is one of the only search engines that regularly surfaces up pre-2022 content.
So it's one of the only search engines now where I can reliably find information that isn't slop.
The FLOSS search engine marginalia-search.com seems like a great idea, but apparently it doesn't support IPv6.

One of the big ambitions for the search engine this year has been to enable searching in more languages than English, and a pilot project for this has just been completed, allowing experimental support for German, French and Swedish. These changes are now live for testing, but with an extremely small corpus of documents. As the search engine has been up to this point built with English in mind, some anglo-centric assumptions made it into its code.
