S1E2: The borg surgery implant extraction scene was gooey. ๐คข
They said they didn't know the race of the humanoid alien that they were removing the implant from. What if it was one of those humanoids born on the cube? That's gotta be weird. ๐ค

S1E2: Soji started sleeping with a cute, shady Romulan who won't confirm his name or occupation in what appears to be a day after she met him, while working on a wrecked #Borg cube, and what could possibly go wrong? ๐คทโโ๏ธ
S1E2: Picard's conversation with Dr Benayoun about his prognosis, and intention to go off world was certainly dark.
"Do you really want to go back out into the cold, knowing? ...I don't know what kind of trouble you're planning to get into. Maybe if you're lucky, it will kill you first."
Yikes!
S1E2: The first 10 minutes of this episode are a really elegant info dump about a deeply held Romulan state secret, spliced into a scifi investigation of Dahj's apartment using molecular forensic reconstruction - NOW we're getting somewhere, show. ๐
S1E2: Immediately after introducing a super duper new secret Romulan Secret Police, they go on to show that the head Fleet security, Commodore Oh, is in league with them? Where's the suspense/mystery in that?
Also, why are all these Romulan spies so hot? ๐
S1E2: Wow, 2nd episode, and the prologue starts with ANOTHER massacre - apparently the one that Picard was dreaming about in the first episode! ๐คฆโโ๏ธ๐
I do like that the circular design of the Mars facility reminds me of the one from #MassEffect3.
S1E2: I don't think this episode survives a Bechtel test. At no point do two women have a discussion that does not involve a man. On the flip side, though, I don't think there is any conversation between two men that doesn't involve a woman. ๐ค
S1E2: Wow, the meeting between Fleet Admiral Kirsten Clancy and Picard was very un-Star-Fleet-like, she basically cussed him out! And for what, something he said on TV a few days before that Picard didn't even bring up? Who the heck wrote this? ๐
I guess the show was trying to demonstrate a sort of late-stage collapse of Utopia through hubris? Example: a failure for leaders to respect even basic rules - like those of decorum?
S1E2: Wow, the Tal Shiar apparently wasn't bad enough for this show, they had to invent an even secreter Romulan Secret Police, the Zhat Vash!๐คฆโโ๏ธ
