My manure pile from this winter season (starting with October 2025). There’s no shortage of fertilizer (proper sustainable organic manure) here. An estimated 15 tons of hand-stacked manure; over time, as it properly composts, it loses a significant amount of weight and volume.

Slowly but constantly loading our Rapid tractor by hand with the good stuff. The loading dock's three-way tipper proves useful once again. Today I put on and moved three truckloads of old manure to a good location before the heavy rain hits. Last pile finished.

Today I covered our two old cowmanure piles (ca. 25m long and 10m long) with grass clippings. The barn is full, and I still had some grass left for composting by covering the piles. I'm already excited to see how the grass will be processed into valuable soil. I'll cover the large pile with a compost fleece.
