I took this photograph from the John Street Lawn (a small park) in DUMBO, Brooklyn, on the morning of June 6, 2026 (see park location: https://www.openstreetmap.org/?#map=19/40.704914/-73.987762). The blue bridge in the foreground is the Manhattan Bridge, and its overpass perfectly frames the Manhattan Skyline (the Freedom Tower and City Hall are both visible). You can also see the Brooklyn Bridge in the background.

I took these two photos at 7:34 and 7:36 PM on May 4, 2025 from the Fruit Street Sitting Area in Brooklyn Heights (NYC). This is between the Brooklyn Heights Promenade and the long hill leading down to DUMBO and Brooklyn Bridge Park. As you can see, it was very foggy that evening and the fog obscured the Manhattan Skyline. In the bottom-right corner of the second photo you can see a wooden bridge which leads down to Brooklyn Bridge Park.

Here's something from that time toward the end of the day when the retreating sun lights up the West-facing buildings on the Hudson side of lower Manhattan.

(This reveals itself as a technically mediocre photo when I pixel-peep, but I still genuinely like the light – so I figure I'll go ahead and post, trusting low to moderate web resolution to spackle over my sins.)
