These are the 3 coolest Linux apps I found this week
Now we find not only interesting detail on the top surface of these blorbs, but it seems they are repeated but deformed near the "floor" surface, which looks increasingly like some modron canal system.

Just finished rendering an animation experiment using #mandelbulber version 2.something. Trying to get the effect of light through a moving water surface while panning around an interesting set function.
Sadly I can't upload it here -- probably too big. You'll have to imagine how cool it looks.
Here's an amusing frame though.
I thought I would compare the #raspberrypi 5 to my PC generating some Fractal Graphics in #Mandelbulber 2 (basically images from complex mathematical calculations) . Activated; ambient occlusion, anti alias, glow, fog so it has do some extra calculations.
1113 Frames:
Rpi5: 28 hours (cpu only)
PC AMD Ryzen7 3700 8 cores: 10hr 36 mins. (cpu only)
I think that makes the Pi5 quite respectable in comparison.
Then I activated the PC's GPU. Nvidia RTX 3060: 18 mins
