I was going through some music I listened to over 20 years ago, including this very nice Bulgarian Kyuchek:

A "Kyuchek" is a Bulgarian Roma ("Gypsy") dance form, which has a specific (and infectious) rhythm and a grounding in makam tonality. (Traditional Bulgarian tunes have some makam influence, but rarely use microtones. So Roma music is noticeably distinct.) (In neighboring Balkan countries it's "Chochek".)
The tune above is recorded by non-Roma prior to the fall of communism. They did very well, considering, and I find it a very compelling tune.
It occurred to me: what are Bulgarian Roma doing these days, and is there still an audible connection to makams?
The answers are yes, and yes. I present to you: "The Bitcoin Kyuchek".
