@aufsmaulsuppe nach viel Testerei bin ich bei Mailpoet gelandet, einem Wordpress Plugin, seitdem schlagartig keinen Ärger mehr (hatte erst Brevo probiert, aber da kam weder alles an, noch sah der Newsletter so aus, wie ich ihn gelayoutet hatte … viel zu großes Ding mit zu vielen Features, die Normalsterbliche nicht brauchen). Wieder zurück ausm Urlaub. Aber mal was anderes:

Hier gibt es doch viele, die bei #Hetzner hosten, ja? Und da nutzen doch auch viele #WordPress ja? Und vielleicht ist da auch wer mit #MailPoet darunter und könnte mir weiterhelfen.

Ich soll zwei #CNAME-Einträge für MailPoet anlegen. Und bei Hetzner in der DNS-Konsole hab ich das richtig angelegt. Mit "dkim1.sendingservice.net" als Wert. Bei MailPoet kommt das an mit meiner Domain dahinter, also "dkim1.sendingservice.net.henning-uhle.eu". Wieso passiert das? Und wie stelle ich das ab?

Ich habe das MailPoet-Plugin installiert, damit man mein Blog auch via Newsletter abonnieren kann. Ich bin noch dabei es so zu konfigurieren, dass keine Daten von Leser:innen abgesaugt werden. Ich hoffe, dass mir einige meiner Facebook-Follower via Mail folgen, wenn ich dort aussteige.

Bisher habe ich nur ein nicht designtes Widget am Fuß der Seiten. Ich werde versuchen, Mailpoet dieser Anleitung entsprechend einzurichten. Feedback ist willkommen.

Just hit a #wordpress issue with #mailpoet not properly re-directing links in emails.

Work-around seems to be to change "Engagement analytics tracking” from “Partial” to “Basic”.

MailPoet Wastes Developer Time
I use MailPoet on my personal site to run my email lists and that means I sometimes have it active when I'm developing locally. When I have any site set up to develop locally I use the WP_ENVIRONMENT_TYPE constant to tell WordPress that I'm on a local site, but unfortunately MailPoet doesn't respect this.
