“Piker and Uygur were not banned by the Labour Party—they were banned by the Labour Together party. The primary architect of the Labour Together project is Morgan McSweeney, who was, until recently, Starmer’s chief of staff and widely understood as the real force running the government. McSweeney resigned in February after it was revealed he had pushed Peter Mandelsohn as the UK’s ambassador to the U.S., despite knowing of his ties to Jeffrey Epstein”

Piker commented that he "would never have imagined that a [Labour] government would ban me from entering the UK." Indeed, millions of UK voters would likely agree.

https://www.theguardian.com/politics/live/2026/may/21/keir-starmer-labour-leadership-rachel-reeves-cost-of-living-echr-single-sex-spaces-latest-news-updates. "Net #migration to the #UK stood at an estimated 171,000 in the year to December 2025, down nearly a half (48%) from 331,000 in the previous 12 months, according to new figures from the Office for National Statistics (ONS)." And #immigration is a "hot button" #political #issue, so much so that Andy #Burnham has to jettison his #principles (if he had any) & agree with Shabana #Mahmood & her #policies on the subject?

And I don’t think it was just Spitting Image that made me think this.

There were less career politicians certainly. There were a disproportionate number of males who were privately educated Oxbridge graduates. What’s changed?

I think politicians were expected to answer questions in a more nuanced way. Media training was less obvious and therefore the electorate was more inclined to listen.

When were you last entranced by the rhetoric of #Streeting, #Mahmood, #Reed or #Kendall ?

@pedestrians1st nor are #starmer & #Mahmood & co entirely blameless in this for their adoption of #reform rhetoric and posturing, the “island of strangers” and othering of anyone who doesn’t fit their perverted notions of “Britishness”

A pox on all their houses

I think we can confidently expect the further proscription of many groups if the High Court rules than this action with PalestineAction was in fact lawful. That is predicted by the current increasingly authoritarian maladministration we suffer under from London.

What is the latest Palestine Action court case – and what is at stake?

Government appeal against high court ruling could have implications for right to protest and lead to other groups being proscribed

Are there ANY depths at all to which Shabana #Mahmood & this so-called "Labour" #Government - far more like a #ReformUK one - will not sink, @thegreenparty, @ZackPolanski? IMO, the answer is NO!

She'd probably #swear at me - but I'll swear right back: Shabana #Mahmood is a f**king #ReformUK #supporter implementing #fascist #Reform #policies in a so-called #Labour #Government. The "concerns" about #immigration she refers to are NOT "legitimate", they are #Racist, & she & the #LabourParty are pandering to them. And where is it getting them? NOWHERE FAST! #BlueLabour can f**k itself!
