Am großen Eßtisch saßen zum Mittagessen 4 Generationen:
2 Urgroßmütter, deren 3 Töchter (eine davon bin ich) u. 1 Sohn (mein Schwager), 1 Enkelin (meine Nichte. Meine Mutter & sie wohnen im gl.Mehrfamilienhaus), deren Ehemann aus dem Iran u. das 4 Wochen alte Baby.

I am staying at a traditional #Japanese house in #Tokyo. It is fascinating to me that the furniture in the house is tied to the roof as a measure of safety against the earthquakes😮

On another note, this wasn't the case at my friend's house in #Maebashi, where volcanoes are more of a threat than earthquakes.
