Pure hubris. "I am a force of nature and will bend history to my will" meets "Hi, I also have a machine-gun" and loses, badly.

"The enemy always gets a vote" is a great way to express it.

Not shure if it's a good thing #Maduro isn't in #GITMO cuz I expect some fabricated #incident (fake prison escape and/or assasination) to happen to him).

Personally, I think the "charges" are either made-up (i.e. "#NarcoTerrorism") and/or simply not within the juristiction of the #USA to begin with (i.e. "Possession of a #MachineGun" / "#DestructiveDevice") because #US law does not apply to #Venezuela!

Otherwise I could just demand the #US to enforce the #2A in #Germany...

I expect a #ShowTrial like they did with #Saddam with a sham court. Cuz the USA doesn't care about #Justice, cuz othrwise they'd not treaten the #ICC at gunpoint, sabotage it's operations and penalize it's personnel with #embargos and sham #sanctions ...
