Rewrote the prototype from scratch to build it on #GDAL. It was worth it, as it now handles GRIB, HDF5 and GeoTIFF too, not just #NetCDF.
Vector overlays also work, which is useful to add a reference.

Nice that colleague at work started using it!

Letterboxx 1.0.2 has officially been submitted for review.

This update is heavily focused on performance — especially launch responsiveness, newsletter list interactions, and overall smoothness throughout the app.

In other words: more good-ery for your newsletter viewing pleasure.

And because software is never really done, Letterboxx 1.0.1 has already been submitted for review.

A lot of these fixes and refinements over the last week came directly from beta tester feedback — newsletter-list behavior, mailbox switching, startup responsiveness, IMAP folder setup, custom newsletter folders, and more!

Thank you SO much to this group of dedicated email newsletter fans.

TestFlight will stay open for upcoming builds too.

A little special delivery for newsletter people: Letterboxx is now available in the App Store!

A calm little Mac home for email newsletters — built for collecting, organizing, cleaning up, highlighting, and actually reading the things you subscribe to.

Thank you to everyone who helped test the first builds. TestFlight will stay open for upcoming updates, but Letterboxx is officially available.

Letterboxx TestFlight build 1.0 (4) is out, fresh on the heels of tonight’s earlier (3) release.

👨🏼‍🔧 Fixed: newsletter-list regressions after the last build — native Mac row swipes are back, and an AppKit table crash around row height / row view handling should be resolved.

✅ Kept: custom newsletter folders, IMAP folder picker, and cancellable provider picker from the Accounts update.

New Letterboxx TestFlight build is out!

👨🏼‍🔧 Fixed: a macOS crash when switching between unrelated mailbox lists.

🆕 New: IMAP accounts can now choose which folder Letterboxx syncs from during setup. It defaults to INBOX, but after a successful test connection you can select the folder you want. Huge hat tip to @lukasarnld for the feedback!
