Mac Admins Open Source is excited to announce AutoPkg Wizard

AutoPkg Wizard is a modern macOS SwiftUI application for managing AutoPkg. AutoPkg Wizard provides a graphical interface for common AutoPkg tasks, created with eternal love towards the venerable AutoPkgr.

Key features:

View all installed AutoPkg recipe repos with their GitHub URLs
Add repos by short name (e.g.grahampugh-recipes) or full GitHub URL
Edit mode with multi-select for bulk removal
Update all repos with real-time streaming output

The most dangerous myth: "Just drag apps to Trash."

That removes the .app file but leaves:
→ ~/Library/Application Support/
→ ~/Library/Caches/
→ ~/Library/Preferences/

Tools like AppCleaner catch these, but manual cleanup works too.

After much debugging, I think that macOS Tahoe 26.1 has some serious bugs around setting desktop patterns to a static image. I have been using desktoppr for years it just fails now. Same with applescript. FB20952146 I set the image, and it just reverts back to the Tahoe image. #macadmin
