Registering open science research output & activities

Presentation at the Maastricht Open Science Festival giving an overview of a few Open Science solutions to make research more visible. Abstract: "This session will discuss where and how you can report research output to make them findable and accessible. Output can be journal articles, software, data, etc. We will discuss various solution like the UM CRIS, the national Research Software Directory (RSD), and general purpose archives like Zenodo. Solutions to automate registration will also pass the stage, like the GitHub-Zenodo integration and the Zenodo-RSD integration. Of course, the role of identifiers and metadata standards can be expected too.".

six times as much engagement with #maasosf23 on Mastodon than on Twitter :)

(yeah, neither a lot... Twitter has killed online coverage of conferences, it seems)

@egonw Next #maasosf23 speaker is Cyrus Moody, follow him at @ccmmody
@egonw open license is more important thank FAIR. Think Bring Your Own Data meetings, they work really well, even better when the data is Open #maasosf23
@egonw Roodhof: Open Science is a skill. But the skills "law" and "ethics" are not mentioned :( #maasosf23
@egonw slide from the first afternoon round at #maasosf23
We have come a long way in #openscience and I just filled a bug report during a #maasosf23 talk about the presented results

The #maasosf23 panel continues with the how, the skills of open science. Hilde van Wijngaarden: "Please don't believe ChatGPT" and gets a question about the role of data curation here.

This is important to realize: chatGPT *interpreted* the data! It's *not*the data behind it, not the knowledge behind it. It's pure interpretation, hallucinated even at this moment.
