Obligatory self-promotion for my latest book, “Good Dawg.”

It took too long for Kevin to figure out he needed to be with a man who knew how to take control. He's not the young twink he sees submissives depicted as in the kinky stories he reads. Even if they were mostly fantasy, those books gave him a glimpse of what life could be like with the right dominant but also seemed to put it further out of reach.

Being a clinical psychologist in a big hospital keeps Theo busy. He's definitely drawn to men who are able to submit and give him complete control over their pleasure. Theo loves exploring the world of dominance and submission, but he doesn't see a full-time submissive in his future. He doesn't have the time to look after someone who needs that much attention.

When Theo's dog uses her wiles to introduce Kevin and Theo, the sparks certainly fly. Can two men who feel they're better off single really build a life together? #BDSM #MMRomance

Two young men are thrown together on a space voyage full of mysteries in “The Darkness Outside Us” by Eliot Schrefer.
#SciFi #MMRomance

Ambrose wakes up on board his ship, and is told by the craft’s AI that he was injured during the launch and has been in a coma. He remembers all his training for this special mission to rescue his sister, who was sent to see if Saturn’s moon Titan could be colonized, but he doesn’t remember getting on board the ship or the accident that apparently injured him. There’s something else that’s concerning: Ambrose’s ship has been joined to another craft, that of his country’s primary competitor, and that ship is occupied by another spacefarer, Kodiak. The two young men must work together to unravel the mysteries and contradictions that seem to cloud their real mission.

Next review this week is the aptly named “Rom-Com for Dummies” by Tom Diggs. #MMRomance #GayBookReviews

Gabe is the head writer for a long-running television soap opera. It’s a demanding job that doesn’t leave any time for relationships. What nobody knows is that the secret to Gabe’s continued success at coming up with story lines is his weekly calls to his mother in the small upstate New York town where he grew up. She fills him in on all the local gossip and Gabe transforms it into clever plots for the show. When Gabe’s mother dies unexpectedly, it turns his life upside down. It’s not just a personal loss, it could be career ending. Gabe returns to his home town to deal with his mother’s funeral and estate. While there, Gabe meets Owen, a handsome man from the city trying to become a gentleman farmer. There’s a strong attraction between the two, but there are a lot of issues that might keep them apart.

Binge-worthy book series: “Star Marked Warriors” #kidnappedByAliens #sciFi #MMromance by Sam Burns and W.M. Fawkes.

Hunky alien warriors kidnap earthlings to harvest their DNA and save their race. No sex is necessary, but things get weirdly complicated when some of the warriors fall for some of the earthmen, and strange things happen.

It starts with “Captured:” Lucas is stuck in a minimum wage job as a barista because what use is a history degree. His boyfriend left him, is about to be married, and he took their cat. Could his life get any worse? Somehow, “kidnapped by aliens” never even figured as a possible answer to that question. The aliens are big, blue, and very buff. And, one of them seems to have taken a liking to Lucas.

“The Taste of Desert Green” is a quirky contemporary #MMRomance by Kim Fielding.

Zephyr has been on his own since he was a boy. He has learned to rely on himself and nobody else. Although comfortable with his body, he likes to express himself in very feminine ways. When he needs money for food or to pay for a cheap hotel, Zephyr offers his body to men willing to pay for it. That doesn’t always work out well. One day, a trucker, full of self-loathing over what he has done, beats Zephyr up and leaves him by a dumpster in a small desert town.

George runs Fossil Galaxy, a tourist attraction in the tiny town of Conrad Junction in the middle of the Mojave Desert. When taking the trash out after closing one night, George finds the barely conscious Zephyr. George takes Zephyr in and patches him up. George is the first man who helps Zephyr because he needs it. It’s an unfamiliar experience for him, and not one Zephyr is prepared to deal with.

Seems weird and sometimes a bit triggering to be reading a series set in WWII right now, but every installment of Garrick Jones' The Seventh of December series has been hard to put down.
