@reneestephen when we were evacuated a couple of years ago with no warning, the fire "near" us jumped over 20km during an afternoon wind storm. It went from not even a concern, to get out now very quickly.
This was the #lyttonfire from the other side of a different mountain range than our town sits at, that burned 90,000 ha.
