Luca Carboni ha pubblicato il suo romanzo autobiografico “Luca non parlava mai”, uscito lo scorso 12 maggio. In occasione del lancio del volume ha rilasciato delle dichiarazioni a Il Secolo XIX. A proposito del titolo del libro “Luca non parlava mai” l’artista ha detto: “La popolarità mi ha fatto soffrire, non ho mai sognato di essere protagonista in prima persona. Quindi, non davo mai troppo peso a certi aspetti. Semmai ho risposto con l’ironia”.
“Prima fumavo molto, quindi avevo una voce roca, a tratti rock e profonda. – ha detto Carboni parlando anche della sua malattia ai polmoni, che ha curato – Adesso è più pulita e brillante. Quando mi curavo, ho messo da parte la musica in favore della pittura. Che mi dava una grande energia. E non sapevo se ne avrei mai più avuto per tornare a cantare”.
Ma cambia idea quando Cesare Cremonini lo chiama per duettare su “San Luca”: “Mi è piaciuta tanto perché il mio nome deriva dalla profonda devozione dei miei genitori per la Beata Vergine di San Luca, che a Bologna è un’entità rispettata anche dai laici.Illumina tutta la città. Quando ho finito di registrarla, ho capito che sarei tornato sul palco”.
Il ricordo va ai momenti difficili vissuti per la malattia: “Ho provato più sgomento e paura. È stato un percorso molto spirituale dove mettevo in campo inconsciamente anche una certa felicità. A un certo punto ho anche pensato che fossero gli ultimi momenti che vivevo, e quindi avrei dovuto lasciare tutto con serenità”.
Poi un aneddoto, la carriera di Luca Carboni nasce a 19 anni quando manda delle canzoni a Lucio Dalla: “In realtà, i testi erano indirizzati a Ron, ma Lucio aprì lo stesso la busta e tutto cominciò”.

Luca Carboni has released his autobiographical novel “Luca Never Spoke,” which was released on May 12th. On the occasion of the book launch, he made statements to Il Secolo XIX. Regarding the title of the book, “Luca Never Spoke,” the artist said: “My popularity caused me suffering, I never dreamed of being the main character. So, I never gave too much weight to certain aspects. Rather, I responded with irony.”
“I used to smoke a lot, so I had a hoarse voice, sometimes rock and deep. – Carboni said, also talking about his lung illness, which he cured – Now it’s cleaner and brighter. When I was recovering, I put music aside in favor of painting, which gave me a great energy. And I didn’t know if I would ever have it again to return to singing.”
But he changed his mind when Cesare Cremonini called him to duet on “San Luca”: “I liked it so much because my name derives from the deep devotion of my parents to the Blessed Virgin of San Luca, who in Bologna is also a respected figure by non-clergy. It illuminates the whole city. When I finished recording it, I realized that I would be returning to the stage.”
The memory goes back to the difficult times experienced due to the illness: “I felt more shock and fear. It was a very spiritual journey where I unconsciously put forward a certain happiness. At some point, I even thought that these were the last moments I was living, and therefore I had to leave everything with serenity.”
Then an anecdote: Luca Carboni’s career began at 19 years old when he sent songs to Lucio Dalla: “Actually, the lyrics were addressed to Ron, but Lucio opened the envelope anyway and it all started.”
