Stop at the small town of #Willebroek in the #Flemish region during my 90 km bike ride. A nice small home fronting a canal with boats. Next time, I need to stay longer to explore more of this place.

First long ride after my surgery last July. I couldn’t do it earlier due of my recent move to #Brussels.

Yesterday was a gorgeous day to enjoy autumn, a sunny day and a maximum of 17 degrees Celsius. I explored the northern part of the town, following the bike path along the canal shores

Update seven weeks after my surgery.

I got my check-up with my surgeon. The bone is fully recovered. All my pain and discomfort are only muscular. So I need to keep doing my reeducation exercises.

I have small osteoporosis due to lack of sun and my vegetarian diet since 2010. So vitamin D supplements, and I will get a check-up next summer.

Now it is confirmed, I'm a titanium cyborg.

Update six weeks after my surgery

After 2 weeks back to swimming, I was able to reach 1000 meters today. I didn’t use my cane for the experiment 🥳

Enjoying my sunbath now, after the efforts 😎

Next week I have a plan to do 30 km on my road bike.

Update four weeks after my surgery

Last week, I started swimming: 500 meters of swimming, 1 km of walking with a cane, and climbing and descending 12 floors without a cane. Is this a new sport combined with the Olympic or Paralympic Games? ☺️

After, I was walking better without a cane in my apartment. I will do it multiple times a week!
