We had a large number of excellent submissions, resulting in 52 accepted papers, the second largest number in the workshop‘s 22 year history!
In addition, at least 11 papers about sign languages have been accepted to the LREC main conference. We include a list of these on the same page.

What a great week! Our paper "The SignBeach Dataset of Dutch Sign Language (#NGT) signs" with Gomèr Otterspeer, Beyza Sümer and Floris Roelofsen has been accepted for an on-stage (😮) presentation at the #SignLanguage workshop at #lrec2026. With this paper, we publish the whole multi-angle, multi-signer dataset of all the NGT signs recorded in the #SignBeach project with computational derivatives for academic reuse. It is offical: We will be part of LREC 2026 as the 12th Workshop on the Representation and Processing of Sign Languages 🎉
The conference will take place from 11–16 May in Palma de Mallorca, Spain. The workshop theme will be “Language in Motion”. The exact workshop date and submission deadline are not yet confirmed. (Though traditionally, workshop submission deadlines are scheduled to be after the main conference notifications of acceptance, so adventurous types might risk an educated guess.) #SignLangLREC #LREC2026 #LREC
