I'm traveling to Greenland today. 🥰✨🇬🇱
I am going to work with a group of wonderful people, and start the process of figuring out how to dress 6 young performers, who will be performing at the Arctic Winter Games in March next year.

Costume making is something I have been freelancing since 2017 now - and is a more sporadic "side hustle" now. It's an absolute privilege to be able to work on such projects - but I want to address something.
It has taken me my life, to learn how to sew. I learned a lot from my grandmothers, and then later on I borrowed sewing pattern magazines in the library, and practiced. And then I tried to sew something for some people who saw that I enjoyed it, when I was young.
And when I started to adult, I chose to pursue professional sewing some more.
I got myself an education in pattern drafting/tailoriing and designing. And I've honed my skill for at least 2 decades.
That's how much I have nurtured and grown my creative skill. To a point where it feels like eating breakfast, or drinking my coffee, when I create clothing.
Business is basically the same. I do not want to discourage people who want to start a business - but I do want to say that it's a long game.
It goes with everything you want to hone and expand - it takes dedication, commitment, discipline, and patience. And a knowing why you do it, so strong that any obstacle won't stop you.
I used to be very passionate about sewing like that - and now it's just a natural "part of who I am." - I sew.... :) I am creative. The end.
And as long as it's something I enjoy, I'll keep doing it.
I can say the same about building an online business - I've been at it (seriously) since 2015, where I started my online sewing business. And since then, I've grown and pivoted, and expanded - yet my commitment to it, is the same.
Now I am at the airport, hoping that the weather in Nuuk (Greenland) will hold - it was said to be a bit stormy. 😅
