@massivelyop It really depends on the setting. For "theme parks" (a la #LOTRO, #TSW or #GW2), I prefer hand-crafted design (I don't like the tentative procedural that some try to implement in their instanced content). For more sandboxy games (like Aloft), I like player-generated content - although that's what stops me for playing sandboxy games with a strong IP like Conan Exile or Dune...

@massivelyop I wouldn't mind if it was done with taste (and it is sometimes. I must admit I fell for the Two Trees port in #Lotro because it was just gorgeous - and I stacked enough points to offer it to myself). But it is too often silly, bling or both...
