@NoahCarver On linux back in the days I was using an app called #avidemux. It worked fairly well.
I was also trying out #kdenlive however the version I was using has been crashing on my system so I've stopped playing with it.
Nowadays I am no longer dealing with videos and for simple cutting both audio and video I'm just using #losslesscut.

This Tool Lets You Trim Videos Without Converting Them

Most video editing software works by re-encoding, which is slow and, because it isn't lossless, makes videos look worse over time. This is especially frustrating when you just want to cut a little out of an existing video. Lossless Cut is an open source application for Linux, Windows, and Mac that can trim videos without the need for encoding.

So this is really useful for any odd jobs where you have to cut some large video (or audio) files into smaller segments - #LosslessCut is "The swiss army knife of lossless video/audio editing" (it's basically a very good GUI around #ffmpeg):

@Jupp_Schmitz wieso?
Was cool ist.
