Again with the entirely too much, even if it's less too much than yesterday. It's nice to know the house is hitting a proper turnaround, maybe we can make it stick point though.

I finished the first seed bead bracelet this morning. It came out so good! I ended up clipping the bitey bits off of the ribbon end so it wouldn't risk cutting the threads, and yeah. I think it worked out nicely. There's another currently sitting on the rack waiting for the glue to dry a bit more before I move it, so. Excitement or sommat.

That's about it. It's Mother's Day here in the UK (or Mothering Sunday, to give its proper name). Which doesn't mean much besides the kiddos giving me a card, ha ha. Which is fine, really. My only real joy in it is that it's a completely different date from the US one.

Decluttering went fairly well. Admittedly, there's still stuff that needs processing, but the big work was done. Spouse now has a fairly tidy half of the lounge, and I put my efforts into other tasks. The downstairs bathroom looks much better, and I've removed a thick layer of candy wrappers from under the childrens' desks.

There is going to be furniture moved around in there at some point now. We'd always planned to remove one segment of desk so youngest had more room//didn't block the walkway so badly. Eldest has now requested to move their desktop upstairs. And while we had committed to a fairly firm 'no tech upstairs' rule, we're stepping back because hey, kid should be able to use their computer, and they also need a big bubble of alone space to deal with life right now. So yeah, we can probably make an exception. Plus, it also means I might gain some bookshelf space, so, win? xD

Right. Caffeine. Lump. Look for my E6000 glue again. I'm sure I have a tube somewhere, and I have a finished bracelet that I need to finish the selvages on. At worst, I've got another tube coming in tomorrow.

Squeezed some beadwork in this spring! Border on the flower pattern is uneven, but it’s a mistake easily avoided next time. The brown bg on the lanternfly ended up being more red than I anticipated, so I’ll try a blue bg next time. Hopefully it will make the pattern pop more.

Modified from a design on bracelet book.com. (Those patterns are charted on a square grid, so end up stretched when transferred directly to a loom.) Final pic is the complete piece. Love how it turned out! Meant to try a border of strung beads but forgot, whoops. Next time.
Used nymo thread, which seems like it’s harder for me to keep even tension with? Will try Fire Line next time to compare.

Don't forget that everything in my shop is 20% off this month. No need to do anything, just buy what you like and instantly have 20% reduced at checkout.

So many neat things to buy, like these seed bead loom bracelets I made for some weird self-loathing reason (they're fun, but fiddly!). I've also tweaked the prices down a bit, so they're an even better deal right now.

Did a really interesting loom beading workshop this afternoon @ the Frist Art Museum. Little tiny beads are not exactly my comfort zone, but it was fun just to explore. Tried my best to approach it with a beginner mind vs a perfectionist one :) #LoomBeading
