I´ve been planning to walk one of the long-distance walking trails (414 km total so yes, long) for.... well years, and then broken up into day trips. This past fall I did a very small start. Tomorrow is the next part, with a much longer walk planned than last fall.

Equal parts excited and daunted by the walk planned. I have gotten very slow so this might be an all-day experience...

A little return visit to part of the Tamsui Kavalan Trails. This section crosses from Fuyang Eco Park in Taipei, to Shenkeng Old Street (of sticky tofu fame) in New Taipei. The route has changed somewhat since I last walked it, and there is now a lot more signage. However, in one or two spots, the signage isn’t too clear and I ended up taking a couple of unintentional detours.

Hello, I'm Chrissy, not new to Mastodon, but new to this server. A few years ago I fell in love with hiking and am now determined to do as many hiking holidays as I can. I did the Brecon Beacons 10 peak challenge a few years ago for a charity which I absolutely loved even though it was really tough.

Sadly I don't live near any mountains, but the Hampshire countryside is also lovely. I'm currently training for my first long distance walk which my 15 year old son is going to accompany me on. We'll be tackling the Hebridean Way in the summer.

Will likely post about my hikes and my dog, who sometimes comes along because he thinks he's tougher than he really is.

I also love travelling and I wish I had more time off work so I could travel and hike more 😆.
