I was really hyped for #LochaMesh project, which developed small custom radio devices to maintain #meshnet with range up to 1,5km I believe.

They had chat app being developed, also demonstrated syncing #bitcoin and #monero nodes, sending transactions...

Sadly, that project is probably dead for good :( .

El acceso a internet es algo de lo que no nos podemos fiar para siempre. Puede caer en cualquier momento, puede ser bloqueado facilmente y es completamente centralizado.

Las redes en malla son una gran solución a este problema y, al igual que las criptomonedas, da a los usuarios todo el control.

If so that drives home the need for #meshnet (eg. #LochaMesh). Apparently there are people on the street using encrypted #walkieTalkies and #transponderLocators?
