this week i learned that cilium can do layer 2 advertisement and can act as a load balancer. i'm considering dropping metallb, and instead letting cilium handle that responsibility.
does anybody have experience with this kind of setup? this is for a homelab running on proxmox, and it's exposed to the internet using chisel tunnel

> On-demand Webinar: Beyond Load Balancers: Scaling Out GenAI with Message Queues on Kubernetes
:star-struck: @jpetazzo est brillant as usual.
(genAI et ollama est un prΓ©texte de demo pour cocher la case de la hype selon moi)

Ok After getting that off. There was a wonderful person who forked it and updated all of the go libraries to the current ones. So now It looks like I can authenticate to #LXD! I don't know if it's actually pulling the nodes based on the labels I gave it.. I still have one more to build.

Looks like this loadbalancer can query #lxd which seems super dope and going to try it instead of my #ovn loadbalancer as it doesn't have health checks.
Only down side... it's not really maintained anymore. Does that really matter tho π π

Is anyone using #loadbalancers in their #homelab or is it all reverse proxies? Looking for something to do TLS termination and, ideally, make highly available. I tried doing this with #caddy and ehh it's not really working how I want to. I also think I didn't configure it correctly. Documentation is a little sparse.

We used to create VPN tunnels & gateways to connect Kubernetes on-prem cluster with GKE
Now it's getting more easy to manage multi-cloud k8s clusters with one tool like Anthos
And i found this Google Cloud Hybrid Load Balancer to manage traffic between multi-cloud services
Currently learning #HAProxy for testing #loadbalancers in #microservices architectures.
Do you have any experience with this?
