BOOM! I love it!!

New dishwasher has a remote start feature. Wife and I don't like running appliances while we're away or asleep, and she isn't really familiar with the settings of this new washer. But running the dishes has always been my chore.

Last night, I finished loading it, inserted a soap pod, enabled remote start, and went to bed.

Just now, I confirmed she was up and about, launched the app on my phone, and started the cycle. She confirmed it cranked up!

Pico 2 or other R2350-based MCU: two 150 Mhz ARM cores and two similar RISC-V cores. That's more CPU than I had in a computer until an Athlon 64 in 2003-2004.

And you can buy them on a reel, for about five bucks each.

Only ~256KB RAM, though. But it's still five times as much as I had on my family's Atari 8-bit.

Sometimes I forget we're living in the future.

When I was a kid, a car charger was something you plugged into your car's cigarette lighter (they all had those then) to charge your 8-track.

Now, it's something you plug your car into to charge.
