Another update on my live edge table, I added the bowtie keys! Overall it was a success, although I did mess up a couple of times, which got me thinking about how about imperfections. One key I did I couldn't hammer one side down as far as the other, which caused a lopsided looking key, in the third image. The other mistake I did was gouge outside my reference line, in the second image. I'll learn to live with the imperfections, it's good practice! #woodworking #liveedgeslabs #imperfection

I met this cherry slab as a tree in a friend’s yard in early 2020. I have an idea for something really unique for another friend and this slab looks just about perfect.
