Shortly after we launched GLONO in 2001 we added a little pop-up to a #Live365 station we curated. It streamed at a whopping 56kbps, and naturally it sounded like shit.
On this day 23 years ago I made the comment, "I wonder if web radio will ever be anything other than a neat gimmick? Maybe once there are some wireless devices that can easily tune them in…"
Six years later, I'd get my first #iPhone, but it would be a bit longer before streaming caught on.
