I've recently learnt to appreciate Chinese "liu bao" tea. It's very different, due to the fermentation - often matured for a decade and more. It seems there's a key fungus involved in that process, "golden flower", and it might even have some gut benefits: https://www.the-microbiologist.com/news/uncovering-the-potential-of-golden-flower-and-its-fermentation-application-in-tea/3388.article #tea #liubao

"Mean Wife" - aged Guang Xi giant leaf frost-beaten #LiuBao [Winter 01, CLT].

This is quite unusual tea by all means - it's a post-fermented, but leaves are almost intact; while being compressed into a brick, few chunks I've got were of a thin leaves sheets; and finally, its taste - reminiscent of an aged white, but almost without fruitiness.

Right thing to say - "the taste of an autumn". Kinda of a medicinal herbal beverage, but quite light, not bitter.
