Since #ThickTrunkTuesday is a thing, the thickest trunk I saw this year was this 300 year old #TulipTree in Sainte-Adresse, #Normandy, #France. My photos do not do justice to sits size.

There are only two species of #Liriodendron and this one (Liriodendron tulipifera) is actually native only to North #America and a rather rare sight on this side of the #Atlantic. So someone must have somehow brought this seedling from NA to Normandy 300 years ago. #shotoniphone #photography #mobilephotography
