Um uns herum wandelt sich die Welt, die Veränderung und ihre Geschwindigkeit sind beängstigend. Unser Leben scheint sich zu reduzieren. Wir brauchen mehr! Emotionaler Maximalismus kann uns retten. Ist Farbe ein Weg?

Depth, volume, emotion. Linocut struggles with these elements. It therefore offers an interesting space for artificial experiences.

The world around us is changing; the scale and speed of these changes are frightening. Our lives seem to be reduced. We need more! Emotional maximalism might be our salvation. Is colour an answer?

Ausgelebter Farbrausch. Ich bin fasziniert. Diese Vielfalt!

Kunst war schon immer mein Ding. Schaffen, konsumieren und daraus lernen. Viele Medien habe ich über die Jahrzehnte schon genutzt, immer versucht Grenzen zu verschieben und Möglichkeiten auszureizen. Was ich jetzt auf meiner Reise durch die Welt der Pigmente erlebe, sprengt alles bisher erlebte. Begeisterung!

A veritable riot of colour. I’m fascinated. Such variety!

Art has always been my thing. Creating, enjoying and learning from it. Over the decades, I’ve explored many different media, always trying to push limits and make the most of every possibility. What I’m experiencing now on my journey through the world of pigments goes beyond anything I’ve ever experienced before. Pure delight!

Farbrausch! Farbe Nr. 20, aus reinen Pigmenten angerieben. Erdpigmente. Total spannend. Pigmente aus einem chemischen/physikalischen Prozess scheinen zu leuchten, reine Erdpigmente scheinen von innen heraus zu strahlen. Sie verbreiten Wärme, Emotionen, ziehen an, Teilen mit.
Genau das hatte ich mir erhofft, konnte es jedoch nicht festmachen. Jetzt, in der Praxis, bekomme ich eine Ahnung. Gedanken wirbeln durch den Kopf, wollen geordnet werden.
Bleibt gespannt, ich bin es auch.

A colour rush! Colour No. 20, mixed from pure pigments. Earth pigments. Absolutely fascinating. Pigments produced by a chemical-physical process seem to glow, while pure earth pigments seem to radiate from inside. They transmit warmth and emotion, draw you in, and share their experience.
That’s exactly what I’d hoped for, but couldn’t quite put my finger on it. Now, in practice, I’m getting a sense of it. Thoughts are swirling through my head, wanting to be sorted out.

So ein schöner Farbton!
Farbe Nr. 18 und ich bin wiederholt verzückt. Meine Reise mit den Pigmenten ist so schön, so emotional, so erfüllend, so inspirierend. Dem Plan, den ich schon lange im Kopf zurechtlege, komme ich näher und gleichzeitig erweitert er sich. Stürme im Kopf.

Mit jeder Farbe, mit jedem Probedruck, wird der Bestand an Lesezeichen/Nota Bene größer.

What a lovely colour!
Colour No. 18, and I’m once again absolutely enchanted. My journey with these pigments is so beautiful, so emotional, so fulfilling, so inspiring. I’m getting closer to the plan I’ve been brewing in my mind for so long, and at the same time it’s expanding. A whirlwind of thoughts.

With every colour, with every test print, my collection of bookmarks and ‘Nota Bene’ cards grows.
