J'ai remis la main sur ce dessin que j'ai fait enfant, il y a presque trente ans. J'étais fan absolu de Link's awakening depuis qu'on me l'avait offert, et cette passion a duré de longues années (et dure encore).
Une chose me chagrinait toutefois, c'était la topographie de l'île et les différences entre les vues d'artistes et son rendu dans le jeu. Alors j'ai pris mes crayons et j'ai modifié la carte.

After 1.5 months of work, I made a Game Boy music tool for my game's audio.

The re-creation of the Link's Awakening overworld theme is finished. It should sound identical to original hardware.

I now consider the tool "good enough" to use for making original music. 🙌

The Lego Game Boy set is finally complete! 😀

I finished with the Link's Awakening and Super Mario Land game cartridges and the console stand.

This set is really great and was fun to build ❤️

Going from Link's Awakening to just starting Oracle of Seasons I can immediately feel how much more concise Link's Awakening is in its overworld and dungeon layout. Every section of the game has a purpose whereas with Oracle of Seasons I get the sense that a lot of the sections of the map are just for setdressing or to make the trek longer. It could be that the Oracle games were developed with Ocarina of Time as inspiration, so maybe the devs thought big empty spaces = epic. Maybe I'm just not far enough in the game to have realized that each section does indeed have a purpose. No spoilers, please!! ​:pra:​

The rooms in the dungeons are a lot bigger and the camera can scroll, but with not a lot filling these rooms up. Like they'll have like 5 enemies in a room spread out and I feel like the same thing could have been accomplished by simply making the room smaller and positioning the enemies closer together.
