@kimau The benefits of open source are too numerous to quantify when compared against the drawbacks of closed source corporate warchests filled with duplicated efforts done with major compromises made solely for profitability.

A hilarious case in point: #Kemper #NeuralDSP #AxeFX #ToneX #Fender and #Line6 are getting TROUNCED by the free and open source #neuralampmodeler

Guitar amp emulation went from $2000 for the AxeFX in 2006 to 0$ for the NAM plugin. 🤣

Interesting notes on the plans:
- construction could begin 2029-2030
- dedicated tracks with no (!) level crossings
- 40-60 metre-wide right of way for tracks and service space for maintenance
- elevated & tunnel sections as needed
- rail snowplows in winter
- specific callout of switches being maintained in winter (implied shoutout to #Line6 in Toronto!)
