Here are some 'perfectly imperfect' pics through the ages - from tiny humans who looked like adorable aliens to slightly bigger humans who now question my life choices daily - here’s a gallery of 'back to school' chaos I somehow call a family. There’s tears, tantrums, food flung with precision and haircuts that defy all logic (Oscar when he had a mushroom hair style for 2 years) Somehow, through all the trauma, mess and sugar fueled survival, we’re still here, still grimacing and still managing to pretend we know what we’re doing Which brings us to today - new shoes, fresh uniforms, fresh trims and the illusion of organisation. This year I’ve got one walking their way into their first year of Secondary school, one walking their way into their final year of Secondary school and another stepping into KS2... Plus the new addition who’s just here for the chaos. Summer 2025 was quick and awesome - busy, dramatic and full of memories that already feel like they happened months ago. We survived… barely! From days out to staycays, to farm visits - I feel it was a successful summer holidays - not without its added turmoil of course. Eva-Beatrix is has her last year — GCSEs, revision plans and enough teenage drama to rival Shakespeare. Oscar just starting Secondary, full of random trivia knowledge but somehow never able to locate his pants and socks. Winnie will have new challenges in KS2 but we will take that day by day... And then there’s baby Dottie - no lunchbox, no timetable, just vibes and VERY long nights. Meanwhile I’m on maternity leave, which basically translates to never sleeping, always cooking and constantly tidying. Solo mum life means I’m the snack supplier, emotional support human, part-time referee and permanent cleaner. The house is loud, the calendar’s full and if one more person asks what’s for tea, I might just let them all free into the wild."

We enjoyed a day of racing, complete with activities for the whole family like face painting, petting farm animals and soft play! Made a fun change in activities and would go again! Market Rasen Racecourse is a National Hunt racecourse in the town of Market Rasen, in Lincolnshire, England. It is owned and operated by Jockey Club Racecourses - racing initially began at Market Rasen in the early 1800s, however found its current home in 1924, its first race meeting coming in April of that year. This course stages over 20 jump racing fixtures each year - the beautiful track is best known as a premier summer jumping racecourse. The oval shaped course is 1 mile 2 furlongs in distance. The ground is undulating and bends are sharp. There are nine fairly easy jumps, two of these are open ditches and there is one water jump in front of the stands! The family-friendly atmosphere, its stunning countryside views and exciting races make Market Rasen a great day out for everyone. @market_rasen_racecourse host fun functions like Women's Day, Family Day, Race Days, Live Music and much much more! They also do venue hire and have a caravan/touring site! Market Rasen Racecourse Caravan Park is located at the heart of the historic racecourse. The Caravan Park offers the opportunity to stay onsite and to enjoy fantastic horse racing, and the opportunity of other events on your doorstep, as well as explore the picturesque countryside surrounding the Lincolnshire Wolds. Market Rasen is a small, bustling, Market town situated on the River Rase and located on the Western edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds. Markets are regularly held in the town offering ample opportunity to buy local produce and gifts. The town is also serviced by two supermarkets, butchers, bakeries, pharmacies, and much more. Make use of the many walks, cycle paths and country lanes in order to enjoy the unspoilt countryside. For more information - https://www.thejockeyclub.co.uk/marketrasen/events-tickets/"

We went on a hunt for E.B and met Hopkins in the Potting Shed, helped solve a Gardener Rabbit’s biggest Easter conundrum, met the Egg Box Artist - turning every egg into a masterpiece (loved the bubbles that appeared too) danced in the Chocolate Factory with Coco the Chocolatier, while finding out all about creating the perfect chocolate egg with some Easter magic! The chocolate factory also smelt so so good - chocolate of course! Then at the end the kids received an Easter Egg which they gladly tucked into! We were lucky to of been gifted PR Tickets for this event and I'm so pleased we did! It really felt like a whole bucket list for halfterm ticked off! Managed to get alot of activities crossed off: • Mini golf • Met the animals on the farm - Little bunnies, chick's, there was a pregnant cow, calves, lambs etc. Plus other cute creatures like birds, donkey, alpacas and tortoises. •Indoor Soft Play - another area to tire them out! •Adventure Playground - the kids loved the giant slide and the silos. • Archery - Winnie didn't participate as she was too focused on chocolate. • Tractor Ride where we saw a sheep with her little lambs. • Air Cannon Arena - kids spent ages in there just blasting each other with soft balls. • Milking Demonstration of the lambs. • Go karting. We took a yummy picnic and ate in the sunshine but there is a cafe on site (they sell fruit tea which I was happy about), plus toilet facilities and a gift shop where there are alsorts of farm related foodies and branded gifts to take home! I've been taking the kids to Rand Farm since they were young and I always enjoy taking them - gets them off tech and into the fresh air and engaging with other children and animals. 10/10 Easter Activity 🤌"

Helped with sorting out the kids community disco and dragged my kids along to help - was a great success although more stressful behind the scenes to organise (hosted at the Trinity Centre). There was a face painter, festive crafting table, party bags, lots of party food my mum organised in the kitchen, party games like pass the parcel and a disco. We also took part in making food hampers for the local community including gifts for families in need - similar to last year but we were hosted at Eastgate Church - always amazes me the businesses, organisations and people that donate to help make the cause happen - as part of @endeavourlouth and I hope those who received the food and gifts found it made their Christmas. Took the kids for food and to see Mr and Mrs Claus at Mimis Mission in Manby - gotta love hotdogs and cheesy chips! Also went to a Christingle and a Christmas Market. Saw Louth Lions Santa on their mission driving around town/local villages, the Fire station and their Santa who also did a run around town and local areas plus the 'Tractor run' who were raising money for Cancer. Was a month for delicious food, Elf activities and pretty lights plus of course working and parenting!"

Christmas Eve day I was working (boooo) but the kids enjoyed a pyjama sesh seeing Polar Express at the cinema with family and friends and having hot chocolate, after work it was the classic tradition of Christmas Eve boxes, treats out for Santa on the fireplace, feeding the Reindeers magic food and festive movies. Christmas Day - Santa had left all his gifts and we had the best day opening them, having the best food and it was just really nice. Family and friends around the Christmas dinner table (lashings of gravy) telling corny Christmas Cracker jokes, enjoying new gifts, having the day not leaving the house - the kind of rich I want in my life. Also, trying to get a nice photo of all of us is a whole challenge in itself! Hope you all had a Merry Christmas whatever you were doing or even if you don't celebrate 🎅"
