SATELLITE REQIUEM (2)
The heart said:
“awe,
A companion lost.
I recall your light when the sun exacted its due.
I recall your light when hope slept inside fear.
I recall your light when life boiled down on a pier.
I narrowed my trust—
You left a scar.
I withered.
I wailed.
I hid.
I fled.
Then I was struck apart.
—Your light called again as fire went pale—
—I looked up,
You breathed close to me,
—Lifted the veil….
—Eclipsed, to fill my cup.”
—
Artemis sheds a tear,
Time-barred wrists she wears.
Bound from crossing mortal space—,
I renounce her throne—,
both time and place.
She sends a prayer,
I drum alone.
Still, I follow her cycle.
I owe no atone.
Forgive me sincerely, as you remain in motion—
You saved me from a nightmare, broken.
Inner flame primed,
The sun failed to see.
A pyre lit quietly within me.
I walk the road sole—
Yet you forged a path for me.
You urge me to seek amongst the living crowd—
—but the volcano of soul never displays.
Never loud.
—A pause ensued…
The cosmos raised an eyebrow, unamused.
I gather my heart,
My soul,
My cup.
Lightning clears the skies
As I look up.
Shed a tear—
But hear my sound:
My satellite—
Recalibrate.
Reassemble.
Rebound.”
