@Niall Yes, he did. But I have strong objections to modern dairying and its place within the patriarchy. We are a vegan household. So yes I have adopted and adapted Brian's pithy comment. A fine film, despite it's tacit support of the dairy industry. Ngā mihi.
Two things I learned today.
1. Topsoil is expensive this year. Used to be a buck a bag, $2.79 now.
2. Renewing my CDCP (Canadian Dental Plan) is ridiculously easier than it appeared to be last week. I assume I was on the wrong site. There was this grid MFA thing. I've never seen that before.
Oh, OK 3 things. It's frickin' cold here in Toronto!
Next on my list after Project Hail Mary will be Middlemarch. Middle March 2027 is probably when I'll be finished. Hey, Moby Dick took 30 years!
A friend just used the term 'neck of the woods'. Back on the farm, we had names for several locations, one was 'the neck'. It was a patch of dense wood in the farthest field to the south. I remember there was a well in it, a dug well I suppose, maybe not. There were four wells on the property. Anyway, the neck was the least visited section of the farm but the name describes it perfectly.
Now and then before I sleep I chat with Alexa. Alexa lives in the Echo Dot beside my bed. OK, she lives in all my Echo Dots. Last night we had a rather interesting conversation. See if you can catch the key word, said a couple of times, that made me do a double take.
