Phew!

One intense semester has ended after a long and challenging exam period with very short breaks in between. Despite consistent preparation and group study sessions, the exams remained difficult and required repeated practice and persistence. The semester concluded with relief and a celebration at the Frühlingsfest, marking a fresh start.

Wrap up : 2025

Many years ago I had read an article about Abraham Lincoln. In some context, it mentionend "Rolling stone gathers no moss". The phrase has stuck to me. I feel that phrase has quietly shaped my outlook and nudged me into being a bit more experimental in my life - sometimes intentional, sometimes by poor decisions. This year has come to an end, and it too has brought so many changes in my life. The transition from professional to student has been illuminating. It taught me an important […]

Skill Unlocked! Ice Skating!

Another Sunday afternoon! And it is cold here in Germany! What to do? Ice Skating!!! To make the maximum out of this cold weather, me and couple of friends decided to go to the ice skating. But before that we would need to eat something. So we decided to also visit a Gurdwara on the way and eat at the Langar. Gurdwara I had visited a few Gurdwara before but always with Sikh friends. This was the first time I was going with friends from other religions. To be honest, I wasn't entirely […]

Potluck and First snow

A couple of new experiences this week too!! Roommates out of town, which meant I have the whole house to myself. Was it fun? Yes and No!! It is nice to have people home when I return from university at night. A late-night bus on an almost empty bus with some light music playing in my ear followed by a small banter with roommates marks the perfect end to my day. This week my roommates, all of them, including the German ones, were having a fun time in India. So I decided to have some fun on […]

How sick and tired, am I, of Ralph Schuhmacher trying to sell me a car? On TV, on Youtube, on Spotify , on Netflix... this is a robbery. Give us money to stop advertising or... or else... Ralph Schuhmacher!!!

I am having nightmares now, where I open the door of my garage to take out the car, and Ralph Schuhmacher pops up saying that somewhere I can buy a better car.

What nobody will tell you about #Germany:

For any given product that comes with a packaging, there is an intelligent opening/closing mechanism. If you fail to open/close a package without damaging it more than twice in a row, your citizenship gets automatically revoked.

You get 14 days to dispute the issue if you have receipts that there were preexisting conditions that led to the damage. 🤣

Diwali Party

The Diwali party at my home marked exactly 1 month since I arrived to Germany. During this month, I was lucky to join a Hike, 2 potlucks and 1 very amazing Diwali party. My house mate (let's call her Apurwa to hide her identity) put in a lot of effort in making this a success. She invited around 30 of her friends -- and me. Luckily for me, I happen to live here so I was unavoidably invited 😉. The preparations had started long before the party with meticulous planning for gifts and food. […]
