Після того як наступив кінець феодальної епохи, почали змінюватися цінності: кожен хотів вже не слугувати цареві чи проживати своє спокійне життя у селі, пасучи корів, а здобувати власну славу, гроші та щастя. Велика частина із тих, хто раніше був дворянином, скоріше за все, перетворилися на капіталістів, які вклавши свої гроші почали покращувати свою власність та перетворювати її на фабрику видобутку капіталу, використовуючи всю ту ж робочу силу людей, які піддавалися жорстокої експлуатації. І через те, що робоча сила поступово почала приносити шкоду підприємства через зміну цінностей з певною мірою колективістичні на більш індивідуалістичні та ускладнення процесу праці, саме в цей період виник тейлоризм — течія в психології, направлена на оптимізацію людської діяльності і покращення виробництва. Тейлоризм плював на будь-яку мораль, етику та людяність. Найголовнішим для таких психологів було вгодити босові, перетворивши його підданих на механізованих людей-роботів, що виконуватимуть будь-який наказ максимально швидко і продуктивно.

Здавалося б, з того часу минуло велика кількість років і все змінилося. Психологи наче б то допомагають робітникам, а не босам. Хоч в деякому роді це й так, але правда все ще прихована за пилиною омани. Тут я хочу означати сучасне місце корпоративних та усіх штатних психологів у ієрархічному капіталистичному світі, визначити яку роль вони грають в підтримці самої економічної системи, яким чином стають джерелом пригнічення робітників та яку роль вони могли б грати у реформах сучасного світу чи революційній діяльності.
