Le Forze di Difesa israeliane hanno ammesso l’errore dopo il raid sull’abitazione di Pierre Mouawad nel quale sono morte, oltre a lui, anche sua moglie Flavia e un’altra donna.
L’Idf ha fatto la comunicazione parlando con la Bbc e ha espresso rincrescimento per le perdite di civili. L’omicidio è avvenuto nel corso di un raid contro un edificio residenziale ad Ain Saadeh, una cittadina in una zona collinare a maggioranza cristiana a est di Beirut, lontana dalle zone in cui Hezbollah è radicata. Le vittime si trovavano al piano inferiore dell’appartamento considerato come obiettivo. “Diverse persone non coinvolte sono state colpite in risultato dell’operazione”, ha dichiarato l’Idf. Mouawad, ha sottolineato il suo partito, “non era un combattente e non era un obiettivo militare”. Celebrava oggi la Pasqua a casa con la famiglia.
