One of the questions I get asked all the time is: “Why don’t you teach Hebrew over Zoom classes?”

Not every method works equally well for language learning and over the years I’ve become very intentional about what actually helps English speakers learn, retain, and confidently use Hebrew in real life.

If you’ve ever struggled with language classes, felt overwhelmed, or wondered why some methods work better than others, come explore hebrewbyinbal.com ❤️

The Hebrew word for “gift” is so much more than vocabulary.

In my newest Substack article, I share how one simple Hebrew word connects the Bible, modern Israeli names, history, culture, and the deeper meaning of giving itself.

This is the kind of Hebrew I love teaching not just words to memorize, but meaning to feel ❤️

Some words stay with us forever.

The little names our mothers called us. The phrases whispered when we were hurt, tired, loved, celebrated, or simply held close. Terms of endearment become more than words, they become memories, comfort, and a bridge back to the bond between parent and child.

In this video, I’m sharing some of my favorite affectionate expressions used by Israeli mothers with their children. While these words come from Hebrew and Israeli culture, the feeling behind them is universal ❤️ No matter where we come from, love often sounds remarkably similar.
