#TBT 8 years ago today we visited #Pisa on our first "touristy" stop of the tour. It had poured with rain the night before, but the day itself turned out rather lovely, if a bit nippy.
Adding a door of #PisaCathedral that I *very* badly photographed (this was before I realized how awesome doors are), and a public wi-fi sign that still makes me chuckle.

According to German Wikipedia, the cathedrals of Florence and Siena (among others) were inspired by Pisa #Cathedral, which it claims was the most monumental building in Christian history for centuries. Not sure if this is true, but it's not hard to imagine.

I was pleasantly surprised by the city – I'd thought it was all about the famous #tower, but it actually has a really cool student vibe.
