I worked in 7 Times Square (a.k.a. Times Square Tower), directly across from 1 Times Square #NYC. We would watch them test patterns on the #ball and test it going up & down.
I went from walking to a #LawFirm at 7 Times Square, to commuting to a law firm at 7 World Trade (across from One World Trade, the #WorldTradeCenter). When I started, #1WTC hadn't opened, the construction elevator still on its face.

My session for PLTG (Professional Legal Trainers Group) went well this morning. "Learning Management Systems - Which One, and Why?" had good attendance and a nice parade of LMS vendors too.

The E was right there and usually is tried n true
but we were held between stations with a C ahead
and the A passed us
Then we caught up to it and I switched at the last moment (right before Chambers) to the express -
Much to my happy surprise I got an express solo elevator FIRST TRY woohoo
Had time to grab coffee n water for my early meeting and boy was I glad for that bc it was a blankin' doozy...

The flabbergastingly-incompetent "We're voluntarily dismissing our appeal of this dog of a case." / "No we're not" duelling motions from the US DoJ kindergarten theatre of yesterday and today just *screams* of the following sequence of events:

1. Senior DoJ attorneys trying to formulate the appeal of the loss in the original case (which, as you'll recall, is about Trump illegally and arbitrarily punishing law firms he doesn't like) know they have an impossible task - there's nothing they can say that will justify the appeal in a legal sense.
2. They write it up as "We should drop the case" and send it up the chain.
3. A manager/supervisor/<title>-in-charge approves it.
4. It slides by Bondi's desk without notice. She's busy screaming about the Dow-Jones anyways.
5. They file the motion.
6. It gets coverage on TV news, including Fox.
7. Trump sees this, picks up the phone and screams at Bondi demanding the punishment continue.
8. You Are Here.

This really is the #stupidest #timeline.

In one email dating back to July 2015, Karp thanked Epstein for “including me in an evening I’ll never forget” at the financier’s home, writing that it “was truly ‘once in a lifetime’ in every way.”

Epstein responded, writing that there “are many many nights of unique talents,” and promising Karp that he’d be invited often.

In another set of emails from 2016, Karp attempted to use #Epstein to connect his son to #WoodyAllen.

Initially Paul Weiss said, “Mr. Karp attended two group dinners in New York City and had a small number of social interactions by email, all of which he regrets.” Later Karp's resignation letter said “Recent reporting has created a distraction and has placed a focus on me that is not in the best interests of the firm.”
