A stitched panorama of the Laurel forest - the Laurisilva of Madeira, Portugal. The forest is part of the UNESCO World Heritage list because it is the largest remaining laurel forest. You can find trees there that are more than 800 years old.

2023 we spent almost 3 weeks on Madeira. On of the highlight spots on the island - as probably everyone knows - is the Fanal with it's old mystical trees. The Queen of the Fanal is the "old Lady" which you can see here in this photo, 🌳
