Blackout as a Protest - Creative Workshop

This time, join us for a collaborative queer youth workshop where words become art and art becomes protest

We’ll explore blackout poetry, learning how to transform existing texts into powerful personal and collective expression by erasing, shaping and reclaiming it. We will then make a community zine on the spot by combining all the new created poems. During the event we will also share more information about the FETA project, its upcoming activities and how you can get involved!

No previous experience needed, just bring yourself. All materials will be provided. There will be snacks and tea to enjoy - and you’re welcome to bring something to share with the group too!

Come, create, connect, and enjoy a cozy evening together!

The event is taking place within the "From Empowerment to Action" KA2 project, which is co-funded by the European Union's Erasmus+ programme and organized by Active Rainbow.

Trans+ Snack and Hang

✨Inviting you to Snack and Hang with other trans+ people!

📆When: 8th of April, 6-9 PM

📍Where: LGBT House, Riga, Stabu street 19

🥗Bring with you some snacks (vegetarian and vegan, if you can!) and drinks to share with others, and let's spend some nice time chatting! If you can't afford to bring any, you're still eagerly invited!

🎲Feel free to bring a board game or anything else fun to do together.

💻You can also bring with you a project you'd like to work on in nice company.

❕A second quieter room will also be available!

🏳️‍🌈 POC, Transfem, immigrants, and other intersectionally marginalized people are especially invited! <3 We will do what we can to accommodate disabilities as well, but sadly the space is hard to access with steep steps.

👤 Event will be run by Universe or Evelyn. Event is run as part of Universal Friends.

🎲Droši ņem līdzi kādu galda spēli vai ko citu ko kopā darīt.

💻Var arī ņemt līdzi kādu projektu ar ko pastrādāt jaukā kompānijā.

❕Būs pieejama arī otra, klusāka telpa, ja tas ir vēlams.

🏳️‍🌈 POC, Transfem, imigranti, un citas papildus marģinalizēti cilvēki īpaši uzaicināti ! <3 Darīsim, ko varam, lai iekļautu cilvēkus ar invaliditātēm, bet diemžēl telpas ir grūti pieejamas ar stāvām trepēm.
