When researching this building, the Jacob Estey Homestead, in the 1950 US Census, it came as quite a surprise to see that Spero Latchis resided here at that time. As I recall, his occupation was listed as a movie theater operator.

It is hard to imagine life in Brattleboro without The Latchis.
