Ben KFigured out a hack for accidentally printing a unprintable/desktop layout in Filemaker. All the objects get hidden from print. At least this way I'm not wasting a couple of sheets of paper, just warming it up. Nothing to see here, just stick it back in the paper tray.

Those https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Multifunction_Printer offer awesome features, reliability, stability, proper document loader, A3 size scanning and printing, color, ... and are very easy to maintain with astonishing cheap supply. A fresh load of toner lasts for 50.000 pages or so. Basically endlessly for a typical household.
Make sure to disconnect it from power supply when not needed as it is consuming too much IMO. I do it via Shelly Plug S + HomeAssistant integration.

1. Cooked a jar of Randall’s quality great northern beans and even though they are not exactly Granny’s or Mama’s, they’re pretty darned close. 😋

Wow, thanks for the advice on the laser printers, folks! I've used Epson forever but for color inkjet printers. I knew HP was a bit shady and had no experience with Canon. I'd figured Brother would be a backbencher and had no idea they'd be so highly recommended! I can't remember when I've had that much unanimity on a tech question. XD
Browsing their site I'm kinda looking at the HLL6210DW. $330, 50ppm, 1200dpi, duplex printing, wifi. A multipurpose feed tray and a 520-sheet paper tray, AND I can buy a second paper tray later if I need it. Hmm hmm hmm. 🤔❤️ #tech #printer #laserprinter
