Ok, it’s enough shooting to direct positive paper now. Let’s get some sheet film through. Also; eBay has been trawled and a wide angle lens is on its way 🥳 #ishootfilm #largeformatphotography #largeformatfilm #analoguephotography #filmphography #isleofwight

@nytpu In theory, it should be possible to make single-shot 135 / 120 setups tho there usually isn't a good, turnkey option to just shove in a single image...

But a System that basically could do that (being like single film frames in like a dia frame) should be possible...

Maybe some open-back #MediumFormat cameras like a #PentaconSix can be loaded with just a single & short strip of 120?

  • Granted that's not compareable to #LargeFormatFilm but it would allow you to Level up before investing into expensive stuff and get a handle on it?

Also LFF has the disadvantage of being seen as "#ObsoleteTech" and thus there's very low quantity, but very high quality photographic sheets that thus have the associated premium to it...

One thing I'd love to see is a #LargeFormatCamera that can use the comparably cheaper and more mass produced #Xray #FilmSheets instead, as they are made with like a user-friendly caddy system and designed to provide afforable and fast to develop images without much manual labour...

  • And since these don't have digital sensor fields that get worn out by radiation they are extremely widespread with doctors, dentists and veterinarians...

I mean, fundamentally they still work the same way the original "Curies" as 1st gen X-ray setups worked, just more accurate, safer and efficient...

The primary thing about large format film that's alluring to me is being able to develop per-image instead of in sets of 12–36 images like with medium format and 35 mm. But I can be sure I'll always stay away when I see 50 sheets of 4x5 T-MAX 400 is like $300 lol. And 25 sheets of 8x10 (my preferred print size) is like $600 XD. And don't get me started on cameras or enlarger equipment

We were all newcomers once, some with little more than dreams of a new life, and many of us depended upon the goodness of those who arrived before. We like to forget and imagine how self made we are.

Toronto Harbour on 30 year old Ektachrome, exposed at +1 stop and pulled -1 in processing.

I’m wondering why I’m getting occasional shadows on the upper corners. The lens should have plenty of coverage and only a slight rise was employed. I’m thinking my error is either in loading the holder with the film or in positioning the holder in the camera. Thoughts?
