I found a vintage (1950s?) Brumberger (up to) 5x7in contact printing box for sale locally. Needs a bit of a cleaning, but it's otherwise in great shape. These kinds of contact printers were meant to be used with now-hard-to-find, contact-printing-specific, silver-chloride papers like Kodak AZO. (As far as I know, Lodima is the only place to get similar paper... and it's not cheap.) That said, I've read that you can use modern enlarging photo paper as long as you don't mind a certain loss of control. Modern papers are several stops (at least) faster than silver chloride... so the exposure times will be much shorter.

I'm excited to experiment with it.

One of these things is not like the other…😅

I also reduced my dev time by 15%. With #XTOL I didn’t really have to worry about that switching to rotation, but #HC110 seems a lot more sensitive to it based on the other negs I’ve scanned so far being super dense. It looks to me like I could have reduced it further - but it’s hard to tell given these were shots of dark mountains and bright skies. The two shots where it appears I clearly metered on the mountains look the best so far, but I am still looking forward to seeing how these scan.

This was a pain in the hole to load for the first time, but so far I already like it better than the Stearman Press tank…looking forward to seeing how these first 6 sheets came out. Also my first foray into HC-110 dilution B. 270 ml solution made with 8.5 ml of concentrate. Running for 10:40 at 17.9°.
