Le terme super lune désigne une pleine lune (ou une nouvelle lune) qui se produit alors que la Lune est au plus près de la Terre sur son orbite elliptique, c’est-à-dire à son périgée.
Sa distance moyenne à la Terre est d’environ 384 400 km, mais lors de cette pleine lune du 5 novembre 2025, elle se situera à environ 357 000 km seulement. Résultat : elle paraîtra jusqu’à 14 % plus grande et 30 % plus lumineuse qu’une pleine lune dite “classique”.
